Technical Services Veterinarian – Swine Business Unit (SBU) - IA/KS/NE/OK/MO/AR/TX

Field Opportunities
Job Function/Requirements: 
  • Direct sales support via calls to veterinary clinics, integrators, producers and veterinarians
  • Build relationships with veterinarians, sales reps, etc.
  • Interact with veterinary clinics, integrators, producers, veterinarians, etc.
  • Provide input for diagnostic reports, isolate selection for CMV, vaccination programs
  • Suggestions for literature/brochures, communication tools
Essential Job Duties: 
  • Review diagnostic database history
  • Review diagnostic laboratory submissions
  • Report diagnostic results
  • Review current promotion/buying plans with Marketing and Sales
  • Assist Sales Reps by effective utilization of veterinary services staff
  • Direct sales contact with clients
  • Organize/plan for key account visitations and service coordinated with Sales Rep
  • Expand product usage by utilization of electronic communication, telephone, producer meetings, veterinary meetings and riding with sales reps
  • Attend key veterinary meetings, tradeshows and exhibitions as directed
  • Participate in SBU conference calls, on-site meetings and staff meetings when directed
Nature and Scope: 
  • The incumbent reports to the Director of SBU
  • The incumbent interacts with all company departments, as well as, designated customers and vendors
  • The incumbent is accountable to helping to provide good communications for sales/marketing with management, customer service, accounting and other appropriate areas in the company
  • Territory states defined by assigned clients
  • The incumbent is responsible for meeting or exceeding all practices leading to excellent customer service and production medicine for swine
  • Insures that all efforts are within all established company policies, governmental regulations, state and federal laws and support the mission statement of the company
  • He/she must act within the guidelines established by company policy and delegated authority
  • Accountable for complying with the Sanofi/Merial/Newport Business Code of Ethics to the highest standards
  • Accountable for complying with the Company Handbook and all policies set by the Company
  • The position requires 5 years’ experience and a DVM
  • Good record keeping abilities
  • Knowledge of USDA and state regulations as they apply to biologicals
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
