Job Function/Requirements: 
  • The Facility & Process Engineer acts as the primary technical lead between Research & Development and Quality units.  The position serves as a key resource to ensure facilities, systems and operations are compliant with regulatory and Merial requirements by ensuring validation status and maintaining validation activities  and conducting process data analysis, driving continuous process improvement in product and process development in manufacturing, leading failure investigation, and providing timely communication and guidance to management of action and improvement to facilities, utilities, systems and processes in support of business operations.
Essential Job Duties: 
  • Responsible for processing of product orders
  • Responsible for answering the telephone in a timely and efficient manner
  • Responsible for assisting external customers with various requests
  • Insure records and documents for diagnostic results, autogenous order and government forms are properly filled out and maintained
  • Insure accuracy of customer data in system
  • Inbound calls to communicate inventory status to solicit reorders
  • Inbound calls regarding pending price increase, promotion start and end dates
  • Outbound calls to select customer accounts in an effort to move inventory product
  • Awareness of up-to-date information regarding pricing, special offerings, buying plan promotions and pricing programs
  • Inform customers of price breaks/discounts in an attempt to up sell
  • Assist in servicing and establishing new customer accounts
  • Assist in a variety of clerical assignments as required
Nature and Scope: 
  • The incumbent reports to Inside Sales & Marketing Manager
  • First line of customer contact
  • The incumbent interacts with a variety of departments within the company, as well as, outside vendors and contract personnel
  • He/she acts within the guidelines established by Company policy and delegated authority
  • Must understand and work with regulatory guidelines established by USDA
  • Accountable for complying with the Merial/Newport Business Code of Ethics to the highest standard
  • Accountable for complying with the Company Handbook and all policies set by the Company
Requirements: 
  • The position requires a high school diploma or GED and/or minimum of five years related experience
  • The position requires good verbal and written skills
  • The position requires attention to detail and multiple task management
  • Familiar with computer systems and software including, but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
